Samsung Could Bring Its AI-Powered Live Translate For WhatsApp Chats: Here Are The Details – News18

WhatsApp chats could soon be AI-powered by Samsung Live Translate

Samsung AI features will be getting new updates at the Galaxy launch event this week and one of them could support WhatsApp.

Samsung introduced its AI-powered features like live translate with Galaxy S24 series this year but the company could open the tool to other apps now. Reports say that Samsung’s latest One UI update will offer live translate for WhatsApp chats as well.

The details about the upcoming feature have come through a reliable tipster named Ice Universe who shares credible Samsung news and updates. The person shared the post on X saying, Galaxy AI will power WhatsApp real-time translation.

The post doesn’t mention it but the tipster suggests Samsung could make the big reveal about Galaxy AI at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on July 10 which is 24 hours away from now. It is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be the first Samsung devices to get these AI features out of the box, with the older models tipped to get it eventually.

Samsung debuted Live Translate along with Circle to search and other Galaxy AI suite of features in January this year. The translate feature helps you with real-time translation for calls and all the data is processed on device as claimed by the company.

Samsung also assured that the chats translated are stored locally instead of being sent to a server which means the results are faster and accurate. Bringing live translate to WhatsApp will allow more users to join the Galaxy ecosystem and even tempt people to buy its products. We are hoping that Samsung’s AI tech not only helps you translate the chats but the voice calls from the messaging app as well.

Samsung is set for a hectic week with not one but more than four products tipped to launch at the latest Galaxy Unpacked 2024 edition this week. We will be seeing the new Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 6 models, along with the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the new Galaxy Ring among others.
