The last rites of martyr soldier Jai Singh of Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu district were performed on Friday. At 2.30 pm, the jawan’s 7-year-old daughter Dolly lit the body at 2.30 pm and kissed the father’s forehead, the people present there burst into tears. Farmer Tarachand, who had lost his two military sons in just 11 months, was like a mountain of sorrow.
Before the funeral, the army officer handed over the tricolor to the 7-year-old daughter of Shaheed Jai Singh. Veerangana Sonu, who came to see her husband with her daughter, was also in a bad condition. She said that she will also make her daughter Dabboo (Dolly) an officer. Minister of State Rajendra Gudha also reached to give the last salute to Shaheed Jai Singh.
Earlier in the morning a tricolor yatra was taken out from Gudhagaudji (Jhunjhunu) to Dudiyan village. The yatra had left from Gudhagaudji at 9.30 am for the martyr’s native village Dudian. Jai Singh suffered a heart attack in Bangalore during physical training. Children, elders, women and youth from all over the district participated in his last journey. The area was resonating with the slogans of Jai Singh Amar Rahe.., Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
Martyr Jai Singh was given a salute by the army. After this the daughter lit the fire to the father.
When the mortal remains of the martyr reached his house, there was an outcry. There was mourning in every village. One family has sacrificed its son and the other family has sacrificed its son-in-law for the country. The wives of both the martyrs are real sisters.
There is mourning not only in the family but also in the village due to the martyrdom of two young sons in less than a year. If both sons of one house are no more then both sons-in-law of one house.
When the father reached for the last glimpse of the son’s body, the tears were not stopping from his eyes. Wife Sonu also became unconscious. The eyes of hundreds of people present there were filled with tears when the innocent daughter of the martyr was brought for the last glimpse of the father and everyone shuddered to see the daughter touching her father’s cheeks for the last time. The last rites of the martyr were performed at the cremation ground in the village itself.
Earlier, the body was brought to Jaipur at 6 pm on Thursday. After this, reached Gudhagaudji (Jhunjhunu) police station by road at 10.30 pm. To pay respect to the martyr, a detachment of the Jat regiment had reached Gudhagaurji late at night.

Shaheed Jaisingh was posted at 106 Para (TA) Airborne Bangalore Centre. On Thursday, the physical test of Jai Singh was going on. During this he fell unconscious. He was taken to Army Hospital in Bangalore, where he died. The doctor told that the jawan died of a heart attack.
Public representatives also reached along with the common people for the last darshan of the jawan. Rajendra Gudha, a minister in the Rajasthan government, also paid tribute to the jawan.

The tricolor yatra, which left at 9.30 in the morning, left from Gudhagaudji police station of Udaipurwati subdivision. The military vehicle was decorated with flowers. While carrying the mortal remains of the martyr to his village Dudiyan, tributes were paid to him at various places on the way.
The distance from Gudhagaudji to Dudian village is 5 kms. In such a situation, people of nearby villages were standing with tricolor and flowers on both sides of the road. Slogans of martyr were raised as soon as the military vehicle passed and people started with the tricolor yatra. A contingent of Jat Regiment from Jaipur will give a guard of honour.

Both brothers got married in 2013, both martyrs
Shaheed Jaisingh and his younger brother Pintu Kumar were married in 2013 to real sisters Sonu and Varsha, residents of Kithana. Jai Singh’s younger brother Pintu Kumar was injured in April 2021 during a military exercise in Agra. He was martyred in November 2021. The family could not even overcome the grief that the eldest son’s body came wrapped in the tricolour.
Within a year, both the brothers became martyrs for the country. Both the brothers were married in Kithana, the native village of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
A large number of people participated in the tricolor yatra. This journey was taken for about 5 km.
