A massive bomb blast took place at Kajwali Chak of Bhagalpur district in Bihar at around 11.30 pm on Thursday night. In this 7 people have died. Many people have been injured. The explosion was so strong that four houses in the vicinity were torn down. Many people are still buried under the rubble. The effect of the explosion is visible for about 5 km. A few days ago, the IB had also alerted the Bhagalpur Police.

The injured are being treated at Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. On getting information about the incident, the police officers reached the spot. Efforts are underway to clear the debris of the collapsed houses. Nirmal Sah alias Laddu, who was present during the blast, told that all the family members were sleeping in the house after having food. He too was sitting outside the house when there was a loud explosion.

After the explosion, as soon as people entered the house to see, the house started falling. All the family members were buried under the rubble. Nothing was visible as there was a lot of smoke at the spot. Somehow some people were taken by e-rickshaw and admitted to Mayaganj Hospital. There is panic in the whole area after the incident.

Several houses have also been damaged in the bomb blast in Kajwali Chak. Somebody’s roof has fallen. The glass in someone’s window is broken. At the same time, local Ramesh Kumar told that the blast took place with such a loud sound that never before had there been such a loud sound. After the blast, the streets were completely filled with gunpowder smoke.

What did the DIG say?
According to local people, a bomb was being made in the house for Sab-e-Barat, due to which this blast took place. The injured Nirmal has also confirmed this. DIG Sujit Kumar says that the FSL team is investigating only after that it will be clear what kind of explosion it was.

Two arrests were made in Kolkata
Recently, two people from Bhagalpur were arrested by Kolkata Police with explosives. Due to this, raids were conducted on the spot at many places in Bhagalpur. According to sources, the IB team had alerted the Bhagalpur police. A few days ago, a detonator bomb was recovered at platform number two of Nathnagar railway station in Bhagalpur. After this, a person was killed in a loud bomb blast on the side of the railway track near Nathnagar railway station.

Bhagalpur DM Subrata Kumar said that all the officials are investigating. Told about the incident that rescue is going on right now. Earlier, the incident of bomb blasts has reduced in many areas including Kajwali Chak, Babarabganj, Habibpur, Burari Asanandpur in Bhagalpur.
