‘6 years, 7 rice, BJP government failed’, Congress reports card on Modi government

May 30 marks the completion of 6 years of Modi government at the Center. Since the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has not been able to effectively shake the Modi government at the Center. Meanwhile, before May 30, the Congress presented the report card with the last six years of the Modi government. That report card has been named ‘6 years, 8 rice, BJP government failed’.

In this report card, Congress has pointed out 7 mistakes of BJP. The Congress’s claim that the Modi government has failed in six areas has been highlighted here. Congress leaders Randeep Surjewala and Ajay Maken met journalists on the same day while presenting the report card. There Ajay Maken raises the question, ‘Whose day is coming? (Whose good times have come?) ‘Ajay Maken then fired at the Modi government, saying,’ Only good times have come for the bank fraudsters who have embezzled Rs 5.35 lakh crore during the Modi government. What will happen to those who voted for BJP in the hope of seeing a better day? ‘ It is to be noted that the 7 mistakes that the Congress has pointed out to the Modi government include inflation, unemployment, illiteracy and declining GDP growth. The list includes aspects like the Centre’s move on army pensions, the law brought in by the Modi government on the issue of farmers. Also on the list are issues such as national security, communal divisions and discrimination between lower and upper castes. The author of ‘How to Murder Your Husband’ has pleaded guilty to husband murder!

“The Modi government is silent … they have failed to protect the country,” Randeep Surjewala told a news conference today. He also referred to the Chinese aggression in Ladakh. Surjewala said the BJP’s main goal is to break up the country so that people do not see the real problems of the country. The Congress also alleges that in the last six years, there have been 10,000 small and large riots in the country. Apart from these, the Congress also raised the issue of India’s position in the country on issues like gender gap, freedom of the press and the Global Hunger Index.
