Akali leader Bikram Majithia trapped in drugs case has got interim bail conditionally. Punjab and Haryana High Court has imposed 6 conditions with interim bail. In which it has been said that Majithia cannot leave the country. His mobile should be open at all times. They will have to share their live location with the investigating agency through WhatsApp. Earlier, the Mohali court had rejected Majithia’s anticipatory bail.
6 conditions imposed by the High Court
- Majithia will have to appear before the investigating agency as and when required.
- Majithia will not leave the country till the next date of hearing
- Majithia will give his mobile number to the investigating agency. Which is available at all times and will be open round the clock.
- Majithia will not directly or indirectly contact any witness or person connected with this case.
- Majithia will share his live location with the investigating agency through WhatsApp.
- Majithia has to comply with all the conditions stipulated under 438(2) CrPC.
Majithia can reach Darbar Sahib today
Majithia was underground for about 22 days after the drug case was registered. Now after getting interim bail from the High Court, he can reach Shri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar. Even on the first day of the new year, pictures were revealed in his Darbar Sahib. In which it was said that he had come to bow his head. However, later these pictures were told of last year.
Tomorrow at 11 am before the investigating agency
Akali leader Bikram Majithia will have to appear before the probe agency tomorrow i.e. Wednesday. This investigation is being done by the Special Investigation Team headed by AIG Balraj Singh. The High Court has given time for this at 11 am.
Sukhbir said – truth triumphs, CM said – case is not over
After Majithia got bail, Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal said that this case was registered after hatching a complete conspiracy. For which the DGP was specially appointed. Truth has won with Majithia getting bail. At the same time, Congress government’s CM Charanjit Channi said that Majithia has only got bail, the case is not over. Majithia will have to appear before the inquiry committee on Wednesday.
