Chandrapur: A total of 539 schools in the district resumed physical classes for Std IX to XII on the first day of reopening on Monday, said official sources. District collector and Chandrapur municipal commissioner had issued separate orders for reopening of schools in rural and urban areas, respectively.
There are 629 schools in district having classes from Std IX to XII. The first day witnessed attendance of 51,791 students out of total 1,17,933.
Remaining schools are likely to start classes in the next few days, said sources.
Sources in education department said 42,988 students in the 15-17 age group have taken their first dose of Covid vaccine, while 74,945 are yet to take the jab.
