A five-storey building collapsed in Lucknow. The accident was so gruesome that at first no one could understand what had happened. On the information of the people present on the spot, SDRF, NDRF and 12 JCB along with the police force reached for the rescue operation. Later, the army was also called for rescue work. Nine people were taken out of the debris and sent to the hospital. Along with this, it was feared that 3 people have died and 30 to 40 people are buried under the debris. But, late at 10.30 pm, DGP DS Chauhan said that there was no casualty in this accident.
The accident took place at Alaya Apartment located on Hasanganj Road in the city. It is being told that the excavation of the basement was going on inside the building, due to which this accident happened. Some people also say that due to the earthquake there was a crack in the building. However, it is not yet clear what caused the accident.
After the accident, a large number of people gathered around the spot. At the same time, rescue operation is going on to rescue the people buried under the debris.

CM Yogi Adityanath directed NDRF and SDRF to reach the spot as soon as the news broke and provide better treatment to the injured. As soon as the information was received, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak also reached the spot. It is being told that the family of Congress leader Zeeshan Haider also lives in the Alaya apartment. It is feared that several members of his family are trapped in the debris.

It is being told that the building was built about 15 years ago. 30-35 families were living in it. Eyewitnesses told that at around 6:30 pm the building collapsed with a sudden loud bang. Rescue started after about one and a half hour.
