What is the total loss of Supertech?
The cost of a 3 BHK apartment in the Supertech Emerald Court project was said to be around Rs 1.13 crore. There were about 915 flats in both the buildings, which would have earned the company around Rs 1,200 crore. Out of the total 915 flats, around 633 were booked and the company collected around Rs 180 crore from homebuyers (people who were buying these). Now the company has been asked to return the money of these people with 12% interest.

What is the Twin Tower corruption saga?
When the Twin Towers were demolished, everyone is asking why did it break? What happened in this case? The answer is that there was massive corruption in the twin tower construction of Noida. The officials of the Noida Authority, along with the real estate businessman, committed corruption. The year of the beginning of this saga of corruption is the year 2004, about 18 years ago from today. The Noida Authority allotted plot number 4 of group housing in Sector 93A to the Emerald Court on 23 November 2004.

The group housing society was allotted the map of construction of 14 towers on behalf of the Noida Authority. G+9 ie 9 storey with ground floor was passed for all the 14 towers in the group housing society. After this the game between builder and authority started. After almost two years, on 26 November 2006, the authority made the first amendment in the map of group housing societies. The builder was given permission to build two more floors.

Meaning, in all 14 towers, permission has now been given to construct 11 floors instead of 9. Then two more towers were approved for construction. Tower 15 and Tower 16 were also given the construction plan of an 11 storey building. The height of the tower was fixed at 37 meters. There were constant changes in the construction plan of the towers. In this sequence, on November 26, 2009, the map of Tower No. 17 of the Group Housing Society was passed.

The map of tower number 16 was amended. According to the new map, the construction of 24 storeys of tower number 16 and 17 has been approved. Now its height was fixed at 73 meters. The matter did not stop here. As the stomach of corruption was being filled, the height of the tower was increasing accordingly. The third revision to the tower map was made on 2 March 2012. Under the new amendment, the floor area ratio for tower number 16 and 17 has been increased. Under the new FIR, permission was given to increase the height of both the towers to 40 storeys. After the new revision, the height of the building was fixed at 121 meters.
