It is raining in 25 states of the country including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. In Gujarat, 14 people lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the last 24 hours. So far 84 people have died in Maharashtra.

In this way, 218 people have lost their lives in accidents like floods and landslides in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh only. Telangana recorded a record 68.2 mm of rain on Wednesday. Chhattisgarh received 35.8 mm and Maharashtra 43 mm.

A red alert has been issued in Saurashtra and South Gujarat for Thursday. The country has received 11% more rain than the average so far.
