18 new cases of XBB variants found in Maharashtra: BMC said – be careful, Health Minister said – take mask-covid precautions in the country

Ahead of the festivals in the country, 2 new variants of Corona XBB and XBB.1 have been found. At the same time, the risk of corona is increasing in Maharashtra. In 15 days, 18 cases of XBB variant of Corona have been reported in the state. It is a sub variant of Omicron. Experts are calling it more infectious than the previously found variants.

New variant dodges immunity
BMC has issued an advisory regarding these new variants. The BMC said that people should take precautions during festivals. The new variant is more contagious than other sub-variants like Omicron’s BA.2.75. They can dodge people’s immunity.

In view of the increasing cases of Corona, on Tuesday, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya called a high level meeting to discuss the situation of Kovid-19. During this, he talked about making necessary guidelines to the states. He directed the officials to find out the new variant at the earliest.

The Health Minister said that an effective strategy will have to be prepared to deal with the new variants. It also has to be ensured that the strategy is implemented properly. Heads of all government agencies and senior doctors were present during this meeting.

Fatigue is the main symptom of the XBB variant
Corona cases are increasing in most of the states in the country. In such a situation, experts are worried about the XBB variant. Due to this variant in Singapore, cases are increasing rapidly. Fatigue is the main symptom in patients infected with the XBB variant.

If we talk about corona in the country, in the last 24 hours, 1,946 new cases of corona were reported in the country, while 10 patients died. The number of active cases of corona was registered at 25,968.
