The ban on political rallies, campaigns, and roadshows in India has been extended till January 31 by the Election Commission of India (EC). Also, the Election Commission of India has removed the District Magistrate (DM) of Kanpur, Bareli, and Ferozabad (EC). Superintendents of Police (SPs) from Ferozabad and Kaushambi were also fired on Thursday, just days before the UP Assembly elections. Meanwhile, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, began door-to-door campaigning in Kairana, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. On the other hand, SP fielded Shivpal Yadav from Jaswant Nagar seat.
